About the role
As our GP Medical Educator – Assessment Development , you’ll support the development, review and quality assurance of RACGP assessments, maintain and enhance exam item banks, and create pre/post-exam resources. Reporting to the National Assessment Advisor, you’ll collaborate closely with the National Clinical Lead – Assessment, medical educators, and RACGP Fellows nationwide to ensure assessment content is current, evidence-based and aligned with RACGP standards.
As our GP Medical Educator- Assessment Development, you'll also:
- Develop, review and quality assure RACGP assessments in line with exam blueprints and educational standards, including pre- and post-exam resources.
- Maintain and improve the assessment item bank, ensuring consistency, relevance, and accuracy through ongoing content review and version control.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Fellows, exam writers, reviewers, and national leads, to support assessment development and delivery.
- Support training and evaluation activities, including standard setting, case writing workshops, item analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience
- Current Fellowship with the RACGP and active clinical experience as a GP.
- Proven experience in developing and reviewing assessment tools and educational content within a general practice or medical education setting.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of RACGP assessment processes and a high level of attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy across all assessment content.
